User Agreement & Agency Mandate

Terms of Service

Effective: August 2026

1. Appointment of Designated Agent (Letter of Authority)

By checking the authorization mandate and initiating a purge request, you formally grant joshx.cc a limited, revocable Letter of Authority to act as your authorized representative to:

  • Submit Right to Erasure requests under Section 47 of the Data Protection Act 2018 and Article 17 of the UK GDPR.
  • Register your designated telephone line with the UK Telephone Preference Service (TPS) pursuant to Regulation 21 of the PECR 2003.
  • Dispatch automated unlisting instructions to crowdsourced caller-ID and reverse lookup directories.

2. Identity Warranty & Permitted Use

You warrant and represent that:

  • You are an individual acting solely on your own behalf and submitting only your own personal information.
  • You are at least 18 years of age and a resident of the United Kingdom.
  • You will not submit false information, impersonate another individual, or use the service for unauthorized surveillance, harassment, or malicious scraping. Unauthorized use constitutes an offense under the Computer Misuse Act 1990 and the Fraud Act 2006.

3. Third-Party Independence & No Guarantee Disclaimer

joshx.cc dispatches standardized statutory requests and interacts with third-party web forms autonomously. However:

  • We do not control third-party data brokers, directories, or foreign entities.
  • We cannot warrant or guarantee that non-compliant or overseas entities will fulfill statutory erasure deadlines.
  • Statutory registrations (such as TPS) require up to 28 days by law for full commercial dialer propagation.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by English law, joshx.cc and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or third-party damages resulting from data broker non-compliance, third-party data breaches, or temporary service interruptions.

5. Governing Law

These Terms and all related privacy agency appointments are governed exclusively by the laws of England and Wales, subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
